During the Battle of Stalingrad, the Stalingrad Tractor Factory (converted to produce armor) continued to pump out T-34s while the battle raged on in the city. Legend has it that these tanks rolled off the assembly line straight into battle without a paint job, and were often manned by factory workers conscripted on the spot. Dragon's 1:35 scale T-34/76 Mod. 1942 was painted with a combination of acrylics, artist's oils, graphite, and pigments to simulate unpainted and oxidized steel.
